Lucinda is a general dentist with a love for smile transformations and facial aesthetics. She has wanted to be a dentist since she was a little girl – and although the journey wasn’t straightforward, she never let go of that goal.
After initially struggling to gain a place at dental school, she completed a BSc in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Health Promotion, all while working as a dental nurse, before qualifying in Dental Surgery at Leeds. That determination and tenacity now shape the way she practises – with intention, warmth and a genuine passion for dentistry.
Lucinda attended her first Dental Mums Network Thrive event simply hoping to learn. What followed was transformational. She embraced mentorship, invested in further education and – most importantly – implemented what she learned.
Since Thrive, she has grown into her role as a cosmetic dentist in a high-end specialist practice, developed greater clarity in her clinical path and found a stronger sense of balance as a mum of two.
Showing up was the first step. Thriving came from choosing growth.
As a board member, Lucinda hopes to remind other women that you don’t need to have everything figured out. Sometimes it starts with walking into the room, letting yourself believe you belong there – and trusting that everything else will unfold.
