Dr Nicola Z Gore

Dr Gore graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Dental Hospital in 1993 and went on to complete multiple Senior House Officer posts in maxillofacial surgery, followed by a year practising oral surgery in Australia, working within Aboriginal communities. She later obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in London, alongside further certifications in cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and dental education.

Dr Gore has founded and led both private and mixed dental practices and has been dedicated to training future generations of dentists since 2004 through her role as a Dental Foundation Trainer with Health Education England. To date, she has successfully trained 28 dentists.

Teaching is one of Dr Gore’s greatest passions. Committed to evidence-based practice, she regularly lectures on a wide range of UK dental courses. She serves as a clinical supervisor for undergraduate students at Guy’s Hospital and King’s College London. She also sits on interview panels for prospective dental students.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Gore was Highly Commended as Best Dentist 2021 by The Probe. Dr Gore has co-authored Dentistry in a Nutshell, a clinical textbook with Dr Raabiha Maan. She is the founder & president of the first British-Iranian Dental Association in the UK.

Dr Gore is a contributing author to the forthcoming third edition of the College’s Standards in Dentistry publication and was elected Vice President of the College of General Dentistry & committee member for the North Thames region in 2025.
